Welcome and again WELCOME!

It's a beautiful feeling to start something new. The beginning is always a bit nerve wrecking until you put all your thoughts into motion. So thank you for joining me in starting another form of release and relating... the "I AM Healing Blog".

Just as I am starting this blog with intention, our healing must be met with the same purpose and willingness. And in the beginning stages you may not always know exactly where to start. I too question at this moment, what should I say to other precious souls who have carried wounds and untold stories for years. Should I be light in topic? Should I type to a more serious notion?

I question, "what exactly do these brave souls need?"

When I started my Intentional Healing Journey, I didn't necessarily have someone to say, "Congratulations for starting." or "Cheers to becoming who God has designed you to be."

I simply had God's joy, to know that I was starting something that I had never thought I would begin. I started learning how to sit in silence, learning how sit at a dinner table and not need a man to be there, learning to enjoy my own company, learning to embrace God's love in the mist of heavy loneliness, learning to tell God everything first before calling a friend, learning to forgive myself for past mistakes, even if the others did not, learning to love me and to love others for where they are, embracing my imperfections, challenging myself to dig deep into focus and allowing myself room to bloom.

That's just to name a few.

The beginning of something always has layers, uncertainty, questions, excitement, frustration, curiosity, and joy. However, we never start something unless we have HOPE. Hope that there has to be something greater on the other side. Hope that there is purpose in the forging of a new path, one that might not have been directly shown to us before.

That's what Healing started as and continues to be for me... and mind you, healing looks different in every season, but the hope I carry within me, remains the same. All the pain that I have endured carries purpose and a treasure that runs deeper than any genetic code. I may not understand it, but as I heal, the journey becomes a bit more brighter than the day before. God becomes less mystical and more personal, so much so that in my heart of hearts I know that His Spirit touches mine.

My prayer is that we reach a higher height and deeper depth of love for God, Ourselves, and the journey of life that we live. With breath comes life and with life comes ups and downs; but in Psalms 37:25 it reads, "...Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread." and this is not to say that we will do and say everything the right way, but it's a testament of God's unfailing love towards us to be there through every stage of our existence in this form.

So cheers, to those who dare to heal.

Cheers, to those who still believe in their dreams.

Cheers, to those who refuse to allow the past to determine their future.

And cheers, to those who, while even afraid, still choose to begin.

Yours truly, Your Healing Coach,

Sarah-A'Esha M. Sewell
